With the blessings and guidance of the Acharyas, we have established this website. It is being started initially as a pilot in the Bay Area, and the goal is to connect like mind people and organizations across the world.
Our Mission
With the blessings and per directives of HH Pujyasri Vijayendra Saraswati Sankaracharya Swamigal (Balaperiyava) our mission is to engage in activities that will help connect and empower the younger generation. In Periyava’s words, we want to:
– Develop the community of devotees into a source of strength
– Build a bridge to sustain our heritage and links for future generations
– Engage younger generation in social and cultural activities
Activities
Bay Area KKSF chapter organizes several events on an ongoing basis. Over the last year (from the Vyasa Puja of 2020 to date), the team organized and participated in.
- Daily Sloka chanting continues since the Sahasradala Padma Aradhana event on March 7, 2020.
- Weekly Study Group on Deivathin Kural
- Jayanthi and Aradhana Pooja at various Bay Area locations/ devotee homes
- Weekly Sankara Stotra Makaranda (Concluded on July 11, 2021)
- Weekly Vishnu Sahasranama chanting for children
- Fund raising for several social, cultural and educational activities
