Sampradaya Patashala
Goals
Sampradaya Patasala is an initiative of His Holiness Shri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamiji of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. The main objective of Sampradaya Patasala is to offer a perfect blend of cultural and formal education to women. Along with offering mainstream education, the patasala also provides its students with training in various vocations like languages, music, fine arts, handicrafts, childcare, yoga and other subjects.
How
The teaching methods have been designed to achieve success on two fronts; to preserve, protect and pass on to future generations, our culture, high moral, traditional values and spiritual legacy, and to equip women with skills, knowledge, self-confidence and virtuous character.
Academic Results
Effective academic year 2020 – 2021, the NIOS (National institute of open schooling) system of Education is followed for schooling from 7th until 12th and the Andhra Pradesh State Board for College Level (for undergraduate degree). Earlier, i.e., from 2015- 2019 the system of education was through the State board.
In addition to this, students also pursue courses in Sanskrit from National Sanskrit University (Central University), in Tirupati starting from certificate courses till Post graduation.
The students at the Patasala learn various vocations like Sanskrit, music, fine arts, handicrafts, cooking, yoga, tailoring, mythology, festival padhathi and much more. The school conducts various exams to assess the students’ knowledge and skills in cultural aspects too. This year, the students cracked the cultural exams in vocal, veena and violin conducted by external examiners sri Saraswathi garu, sri Bala Subramanyam garu vizag.
